Casino Camping Why?
Traveling on a budget takes a little planning and forethought but most certainly can be done. Boondocking is becoming more and more popular as people become familiar with it and frankly as the cost of staying in RV parks skyrockets. We have done some of everything. We love the adventure in all of the options but recently have discovered RV Casino Camping and are just so excited about it.
We had heard of over-nighting at Casino's before but had not tried it. In our first 30 days on the road full-time we discovered this option and honestly it has altered the way we plan to travel.
Now to be honest what Casino Camping by definition really means is parking in a parking lot next to the Casino for free.
We have seen that many Casino's offer full hookup parks as well but we love the price of free! When you are on budget and wanting to extend your dollar this may just be the ticket.
How Do You Find Them?
There are several ways to find the Casino's that offer free parking. Two of our favorite are Allstays and Casinocamping.com . Both offer really easy to access information about the Casino's in the area you are planning to travel through. Both offer pretty good details about the Casino ie: whether they offer free parking or not, reviews from other campers that have stayed there, website links to the casinos etc.
Pro Casino Camper Tip:
Check to see if the casino has a players club offer. Very often if you sign up for the players club you will receive a few dollars in free play and if you accumulate enough points they even let you stay longer (for free)! We even had one night that we signed up for the players club each got $5.00 in free play and turned that into a $20 win that paid for a great wings and beer night in their sports bar. Stayed and ate for free the way we saw it. BONUS!
Dry camping has become an easy way to stretch our traveling budget and spend a little extra time exploring the area. If you are interested in giving it a try take a look at my post about Casino Camping Etiquette for a few tips and neighborly things to make sure you do when you do go.
